Welcome
Thank you for using LightKitQR! If you encounter any issues, please refer to the information below.
FAQ
QR Code Generation
Q: Why can't the generated QR code be scanned?
A: Please check the following:
- Make sure the input content is correct (e.g., URLs need to include
http://orhttps://) - If a logo is added, try reducing the logo size or increasing the error correction level to Q or H
- Ensure sufficient contrast between foreground and background colors — avoid similar colors
- Try increasing the QR code size (set to "Large")
Q: What content types are supported?
A: LightKitQR supports the following 8 content types:
- Text: Any text content
- URL: Automatically recognizes http/https links
- WiFi: Includes SSID, password, and encryption type
- Contact: Name, phone, email (vCard format)
- Email: Recipient, subject, body
- Phone: Phone number
- SMS: Phone number and message content
- Location: Latitude and longitude coordinates
Q: Is there a character limit?
A: We recommend keeping content under 2,000 characters. Longer content results in more complex QR codes, which may affect scan recognition rates.
QR Code Scanning
Q: The scanning function isn't working?
A: Please ensure camera permission is granted. Go to iOS Settings → LightKitQR → enable Camera permission.
Q: After selecting an image from the album, it says no QR code detected?
A: Please make sure the QR code in the image is clear and complete, without being cropped or obstructed. Blurry, heavily tilted, or low-resolution images may not be recognizable.
History
Q: Will history be automatically deleted?
A: By default, no. You can set an auto-cleanup interval (1 day / 7 days / 30 days) in "My" → "Privacy Settings". Favorited records will not be automatically cleaned.
Q: How can I recover deleted records?
A: Deleted records cannot be recovered. Please proceed with caution.
Widget
Q: The widget doesn't show the most recent QR code?
A: Widget data updates may have a slight delay. Try generating or saving a new QR code in the main app, and the widget will refresh automatically.
