PalmGoldPrice Privacy Policy

PalmGoldPrice respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information and data when providing market quotes, price alerts, calculation tools, and account services.

This update is a material change. The app now includes the Jiguang push SDK and server-side price alerts. After you accept this policy and enable notifications, alert rules, an app-installation identifier, and the Jiguang Registration ID are transmitted to our server and Jiguang's push service. Version 1.0.14 will ask for your renewed consent on first launch.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Registration and Sign-In Information

To provide account management, identity verification, and secure sign-in services, we collect the following necessary information when you register or sign in:

• Username, used to identify your account;
• An irreversible hash of your password, used for account security verification. We do not store your password in plain text.

This information is necessary to provide account features. If you choose not to provide it, you will not be able to use registration, sign-in, password recovery, account deletion, or other account-related services, but you may continue using the app's core non-account features.

1.2 Data Stored on Your Device

To provide market viewing, portfolio tracking, price alerts, and calculation tools, the app stores the following data locally on your device:

• Portfolio records
• Price alert rules
• App settings
• The most recent successful market and brand-price cache

Portfolio records, app settings, and market caches are primarily stored on your device. If you sign in, portfolio and alert data may be synchronized to our server for cross-device use. If you enable notifications and price alerts, alert rules are also transmitted as described in Section 1.3.

1.3 Remote Push and Price Alert Information

After you accept this policy and enable system notifications, we process the following information so a one-time price alert can arrive while the app is in the background or not running:

• An app-installation identifier and random device credential used to distinguish the installation and protect the alert API;
• The Jiguang Registration ID, app version, and notification-enabled status used to select the push destination and troubleshoot delivery;
• Alert ID, gold or silver instrument, above/below condition, target price, note, and creation/update times;
• Push result, trigger time, relevant Shanghai Gold Exchange reference price, and Jiguang message ID used to prevent duplicate alerts and diagnose failures.

The server evaluates alerts against the latest public daily Au99.99 / Ag99.99 quote from the Shanghai Gold Exchange. After the condition is met and Jiguang accepts the push request, the active server-side alert is deleted and a limited delivery receipt is retained to prevent a stale client from recreating and repeating it.

2. How We Use Information

We collect and use relevant information only for the following purposes:

• Completing account registration, identity verification, and secure sign-in;
• Protecting account security and preventing unauthorized sign-ins, abnormal access, or misuse;
• Providing password recovery, account management, and account deletion services;
• Preserving your local market viewing, alert, portfolio, and calculation preferences;
• Sending a one-time remote notification when your configured price condition is met and removing the triggered alert;
• Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory obligations.

3. Network Requests and Market Data

The app sends network requests to public market data endpoints and brand gold price endpoints so it can display gold, silver, and related reference prices. As part of normal internet communications, those services may receive basic technical information such as IP address, request time, and network environment.

We do not associate those requests with your local portfolio, alerts, or settings, and we do not use them to build user profiles or deliver advertising.

3.1 Cross-App Shortcuts and App Availability Checks

To help you view real-time precious metal products from the relevant banks, when you actively tap a shortcut in the bank gold price section, the app may locally check whether the official mobile banking clients of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, Bank of Communications, China Minsheng Bank, Ping An Bank, or Postal Savings Bank of China are installed on your device.

This check is used only to determine whether the corresponding bank app can be opened directly. To support different versions or distribution channels of the same official bank client, the app may query one or more URL Scheme identifiers for the same bank, but the check is limited to the 9 banks listed above. If the bank app is not installed, the app opens the corresponding bank's official App Store download page instead. PalmGoldPrice does not collect, upload, or store a list of apps installed on your device. This feature is triggered only when you actively tap the bank shortcut button, and the app does not silently scan installed apps in the background. The check and shortcut process does not access your bank account, assets, identity, or any other personal financial information. It only performs a system-level shortcut action, does not transmit your installed app list to our servers, and does not send your portfolio records, price alerts, account information, or any other personal data inside PalmGoldPrice to the bank app or the App Store. The page, bank app, or App Store you open is provided by the relevant third party, and its data practices are governed by that third party's privacy policy.

4. Permissions

If you enable price alerts, the app requests system notification permission. It is used to deliver one-time price alerts through Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Jiguang Push, with local notifications retained only as a fallback. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

The current version does not actively request contacts, microphone, camera, or precise-location access. Photo-library add permission is requested only when you save a share poster. Before Jiguang initializes, the app disables SDK collection of SSID, BSSID, cellular base-station, and GPS information.

5. Storage and Protection

Your password is stored only after being transformed with an irreversible hashing algorithm. We do not store or transmit plain-text passwords. We use reasonable security measures consistent with industry practice to protect account information, local data, and related services against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

The current version does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking SDKs. Unless required by law, we do not sell, rent, or proactively disclose your portfolio, alert, or settings data to third parties.

6.1 Jiguang Push SDK

• Provider: Shenzhen Hexun Huagu Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Jiguang);
• SDKs: JPush 6.2.0 and JCore 5.5.0 no-IDFA edition;
• Purpose: create a push Registration ID, maintain push connectivity, deliver price alerts to a specified device, and process necessary delivery/diagnostic information;
• Data that may be processed: device model, operating-system and app/SDK versions, network type and IP address, device identifiers such as IDFV, Jiguang Registration ID, notification delivery logs, and necessary diagnostic/crash information;
• Restrictions in this app: no IDFA, no advertising or cross-app tracking, and SSID, BSSID, cellular base-station, and GPS collection are disabled before initialization;
• Jiguang privacy policy: https://www.jiguang.cn/license/privacy.

Alert rules are first sent to the PalmGoldPrice server, which evaluates public Shanghai Gold Exchange prices. When triggered, only the corresponding Jiguang Registration ID is targeted. Jiguang does not receive your account password, password hash, portfolio records, or bank-account information.

To support necessary account functions such as registration, sign-in, account security checks, and account deletion, we may rely on infrastructure cloud service providers. We do not permit them to use your personal information for purposes unrelated to PalmGoldPrice services.

Bank app shortcuts and App Store download page visits are user-initiated visits to third-party services. PalmGoldPrice does not share your local portfolio, alerts, settings, account username, or password hash with banks or the App Store, and does not collect, upload, or store your installed app list.

7. Data Management and Your Rights

You can delete portfolio records and alerts inside the app. Alert deletion is synchronized to the corresponding active server-side alert, and a successfully pushed alert is automatically removed. Deleting the app usually removes local data, but the server may retain an alert that has not yet synchronized its deletion and limited delivery receipts. You may request their deletion using the contact details below.

If you register an account, you may request account deletion at any time. The current in-app path is My -> Settings -> Account Security -> Delete Account. After you submit a deletion request, we will complete processing within 15 business days and delete your username, password hash, and related account data. If laws or regulations require us to retain certain logs, we will keep only the required records and will de-identify or anonymize them where reasonably possible.

8. Children's Privacy

The app is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Policy Updates and Notice

If the app's features or data handling practices change, this policy will be updated accordingly. The date shown on this page controls the latest version. For material changes to personal information processing rules, we will explain the change through in-app notices. If you do not agree with the updated policy, you may stop using the relevant features or request account deletion.
