Privacy Policy

US Economic Indicators (the “App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles information while providing public US economic-indicator services, optional accounts, Pro subscriptions, and optional data update notifications.

Optional Accounts

You do not need to register or sign in to browse indicators. We process a username or email address, public account identifier, email-verification status, and records needed for account security only when you choose to register, sign in, bind an email address, or reset a password.

Usernames, email addresses, account identifiers, and necessary session records are stored on our server and linked to the corresponding account for authentication, account management, security, and the account features you choose to use.

Passwords are stored only as irreversible hashes, never in plaintext. To maintain sign-in state and protect accounts, we process session credentials and necessary sign-in, verification, and revocation records. Email verification codes are limited to their registration, sign-in, email-binding, or password-reset purpose and expire after their validity period.

Subscriptions and Purchase Information

The App offers USEconomy Pro auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store. Apple processes subscription payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. We do not receive or store payment-card numbers, bank-account details, or Apple Account payment credentials.

When you view, purchase, restore, or use a subscription, we may process the following information to verify purchases, provide and restore Pro access, synchronize subscription status, prevent duplicate claims or fraud, and handle renewals, refunds, revocations, and billing grace periods:

• an App installation identifier and a random identifier used to associate the subscription;
• subscription product ID, transaction ID, and original transaction ID;
• purchase and expiration dates and renewal, refund, revocation, and billing-grace-period status;
• the App Store transaction environment and Apple-signed transaction information;
• App Store Server Notifications sent by Apple; and
• if you are signed in, the public account identifier associated with the subscription entitlement.

Subscription and purchase records are linked to an App installation identifier. When you sign in and synchronize subscription access, these records can also be linked to your account for entitlement verification, purchase restoration, and cross-device access. Randomly generated installation or account identifiers can still identify the corresponding device or account.

This information comes from StoreKit, the Apple App Store, and purchase or restore actions you initiate. We use subscription information only to provide and maintain the subscription service, verify security, provide customer support, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Apple processes payment and App Store transaction information under its privacy policy and Apple Media Services Terms. Our servers, database, and hosting providers process this information only as needed for subscription verification, storage, delivery, and security.

Indicator Services and Device-Local Data

The App uses network services to provide public US economic-indicator lookup, historical data, and charts. Favorites, learning progress, interface and language preferences, widget preferences, and cached data are generally stored on your device. Widgets may use the App Group container to read the local favorites and cached snapshots they need.

Public data may be delayed, unavailable, revised, or incomplete because of source-publication updates, revisions, network delivery, data processing, or maintenance. Refer to the original materials published by the relevant data providers for important information.

Optional Data Update Notifications

Update notifications for nonfarm payrolls, federal funds rate data, the Producer Price Index (PPI), and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) are an optional USEconomy Pro feature and are off by default. Interest-rate alerts cover monthly effective federal funds rate data. The App initializes JPush only after you accept this policy, enable an alert, and authorize system notifications. You can control each of the four indicators separately under Settings — Indicator update alerts, or disable notifications in iOS Settings. Turning off alerts does not affect data browsing or other subscription benefits.

To deliver the alerts you choose, our server stores and associates your installation identifier, JPush Registration ID, alert preferences, push environment, and necessary delivery status. If you are signed in, these records may also be associated with your account to verify Pro eligibility and manage alert settings.

The App integrates only the JPush 6.2.2 push SDK and its required dependency, the no-IDFA edition of JCore 5.5.1. It does not integrate Jiguang APM, advertising, or separate analytics SDKs, enable SDK crash-log collection, read IDFA, or request advertising tracking permission. Before SDK initialization, the App disables user segmentation, data insights, collection of Wi-Fi names (SSID), Wi-Fi access-point identifiers (BSSID), cell-tower information, and geographic coordinates, as well as SDK location functionality. The App does not request location permission or submit location to the SDK.

Push delivery processes the APNs device token, Registration ID, necessary device identifiers such as IDFV, device model and OS version, application information, IP address and network status, delivery and notification-response information, and necessary diagnostics. These support device addressing, APNs connectivity, message-status handling, delivery, and troubleshooting. When you tap a notification, the App may pass notification-handling information to JPush and opens the corresponding indicator page. These push identifiers and records can be linked to the corresponding device. We do not provide JPush with account passwords, email addresses, Apple payment information, or complete subscription transaction records.

Network, Security, and Service Providers

When you access the App's services, our servers and hosting providers may process an IP address, request time, client or device type, API path, and error records as needed for transmission, account security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

If you choose email-based account features, email providers and your mailbox provider process the information needed to send and receive verification codes. Server, database, and network hosting providers process information needed to provide APIs, storage, delivery, and security. We provide service providers only the information needed for the relevant function and require them to protect it to standards no less protective than this Policy and applicable law.

JPush, operated by Shenzhen Hexun Huagu Information Technology Co., Ltd., and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) provide the optional data update notifications described above. Their involvement is limited to the information necessary for push delivery and operation. The App does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking SDKs, or analytics SDKs used for targeted advertising. We do not sell or rent personal information, use an advertising identifier, or build advertising profiles.

We associate account, device, and purchase information only to provide and maintain the functions described above. We do not combine it with data from other companies' apps, websites, or offline sources for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, or share it with data brokers.

How We Use Information

We use the information above only to:

• provide US economic indicators, caching, and widget features;
• create and maintain the accounts you choose to use and send email verification codes;
• deliver the nonfarm payrolls, federal funds rate, PPI, and CPI update notifications you choose to enable;
• maintain sessions, protect accounts and services, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

Retention, Deletion, and Withdrawal

Account information is retained while the account remains active. Verification codes are usable only during their validity period; expired code records enter hourly cleanup and are normally deleted within 24 hours after expiry. Expired or revoked session records enter hourly cleanup after a 30-day security-retention period. Rate-limit records that have not been updated for more than 24 hours and no longer enforce a block enter hourly cleanup. You can remove favorites individually in the App. Interface, language, and widget preferences and cached data remain on your device; iOS system behavior applies to local data after the App is uninstalled.

You can delete your account in App Settings. We will delete or disassociate the sessions and account information directly linked to it, except for information that applicable law requires us to retain or that is necessary to address security or disputes.

Subscription and transaction records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide or restore subscription access, process refunds or disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with accounting, tax, or other legal obligations. When no longer required, they are deleted or anonymized. Deleting an App account removes the direct account association, but transaction records needed to verify purchased access, address refunds or disputes, protect security, or comply with law may be retained.

Turning off all indicator alerts or withdrawing privacy consent requests deletion of the server-side push device binding and its pending delivery records. If the network is unavailable, the operation must be retried when connected. Consent withdrawal also unregisters remote notifications on the device and withdraws SDK information-collection authorization. Deleting an account removes its associated push devices and pending delivery records. Deleting an App account, uninstalling the App, or withdrawing privacy consent does not cancel an Apple subscription. Subscriptions must be cancelled through Apple Account subscription management.

Account features are optional. You may choose not to register, stop submitting verification information, or withdraw consent for future optional-account processing by stopping use of the feature and deleting your account. This does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal. After withdrawal or deletion, account-dependent features may no longer be available.

You can also choose “Withdraw Privacy Consent” in App Settings. After withdrawal, the App stops network requests for its main content and widgets, signs out and clears the local sign-in session, and returns to the consent screen. Widgets use existing local cache only, and network services resume only after you consent again. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other applicable data rights.

Security

We use reasonable access controls, transport protections, password hashing, time-limited verification codes, and session management. No internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure; keep your password and verification codes confidential.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. Contact us if you believe a child provided information without appropriate guardian consent.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy when features, service providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through this page or an appropriate in-App notice. The updated date shown above controls.
